Yoga & ride weekend
These days we invite you to an experience for all senses. Give yourself some days of active relaxation – we eat delicious food, breath, walk, yoga & ride. Offered during spring and autumn.
Enjoy the tranquillity of mythical Tiveden. The riding is mostly on smooth gaited horses. You need some previous riding experience and need to be prepared to ride in all gaits/speeds as well as on trails and paths in the woods.
The yoga is a mix and inspired by kundalini-, medic- and yin yoga. It will be soft sessions and no prior experience of yoga, qi gong or meditation is needed for these days.
Arrival and check in, you have your room from 2 pm and we meet for fika at 2.30 pm. Come dressed / prepared for riding. Dinner is served at 6.30 pm.
We gather before breakfast for a mindful Qi Gong – session outside. A beautiful way to start the day. Breakfast is served 8-9.30 am. We meet at the stables at 10 am and go for a guided ride through the forest. We bring a packed lunch. At 3 pm we meet in the yoga room for a soft session. Sauna and hot tub is ready for you before the barbeque dinner.
Breakfast is served 8-9.30 am and we ask you to check out before the yoga session. 10 am Yoga and meditation in the yoga room. A light lunch is served at 11.30 and we wish you a safe journey home.
Riders are required to handle/control their horse safely and independently in all gaits and speeds as well as in the terrain. The riding these days will be relaxed and most yogis, even those without so much prior experience, will feel relaxed and balanced on the horses. Please be sure to give us your accurate weight, length and level of experience so we can choose the right horse for you. Max weight 90 kg. You do not have to join the rides if you don’t want or can. It is included but not obligatory.
Since all meals are included please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary preferences. Please note that even though this is a yoga weekend there will still be possible to have coffee and wine if you wish. Also be sure to let us know if you prefer single room (extra charge), email us before you book so we can check availability. If you book together with a friend let us know for the room planning.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring riding gear according to weather, rides will not be cancelled due to rain or sun or thunder or any other weather.
For the yoga – bring comfortable clothes that will keep you warm/dry and that allows you to move freely. We have a mat for you but you can of course bring your own if you prefer.
You might appreciate a flashlight in the darker months, a thermos or water bottle. Don’t forget swimming gear, something extra warm for the early morning session and perhaps a book to read. Choose shoes/boots/wellies that allows you to walk comfortably.
